Tiki torch-owning hipsters. Welcome to Planet Pam: the groovy, "retro-modern" domain of award-winning British illustrator Pamela Hobbs who spends her working time between London, Tokyo, San Francisco, and New York.
Pamela has taught at the California College of Arts and Crafts, as well as the School of Visual Arts and the Parsons School of Design. A popular guest speaker, Hobbs has charmed audiences from Ohio to Oslo.
Hobbs' client list includes some very cool products Absolut, Swatch, and Sony and a slew of media heavyweights Paramount Films, CBS Fox TV, Business Week, Time, Conde Nast Publications, and The New York Times and more.
Her illustrations reflect the attitude of the times as well: a cheerful and uncritical view of the future, and a welcome alternative to Y2K doom and gloom.
